Summer is practically here and I’ve been thinking more and more about my health lately. I’m tired of feeling tired all of the time and lacking the energy to do much of anything. So, I’ve made it a priority to consume more fruits and vegetables, particularly those that are high in antioxidants like mangosteen.
Of course not everyone will agree with my choices. Some may even say that the benefits of mangosteen are just a myth. Not so in my opinion! Mangosteens contain xanthones, which are a group of antioxidants that could help fight diarrhea, bladder infections, irritable bowl syndrome and some skin rashes.
The fruit may also help increase energy levels, which is just what I need! Still, there are those who are skeptical of what this fruit may be able to do. Of course they’re probably not considering the idea that Mother Nature knows best. I know I’d much rather put something from Mother Nature inside of my body verses something man-made out of the laboratory of a chemical manufacturer.
Unfortunately I did find that the only way I can enjoy this wonderful fruit is by consuming it as a juice or as a nutritional health supplement. Mangosteens as a fruit in whole are not allowed in the United States because of agricultural regulations. Still, that hasn’t stopped me from giving this power fruit a try!
I found that juices containing the fruit were okay, but not for me. The reason is because many manufacturers either don’t add enough of the fruit to their product or they add unnatural ingredients.
A better option for me was to choose an all natural whole food supplement containing the fruit mangosteen. I didn’t just choose any supplement, however. For me I chose one that is 100% natural and in liquid form. I hate swallowing pills, so it’s wonderful that I’m able to just drink it and go. Hey, it’s my health I’m talking about here and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
